Play an important part shaping the future of our iconic Australian institution Critical role in developing and implementing the Enterprise release management arrangements for the RBA as part of the Payments Operations Program About the business/role/team This is a unique opportunity for you to join the Reserve Bank’s payments team that owns and operates RITS, Australia's real-time gross settlement system, which moves around $250 billion dollars between financial institutions each day and ultimately settles all non-cash payments in Australia. This is critical national infrastructure, which is essential to support the day-to-day business of the Australian economy. You will be working in the Payments Operations Program team that (together with IT Department) is developing and implementing best-practice Enterprise release management arrangements for the RBA. The further development of the RBA's release management capabilities is an important component of the RITS Operating Model workstream. You would then transition to IT''s Enterprise Release Management team to be one of their release co-ordinators. You will also get exposure to the broader Payments Operations Program work, which is a multi-year program to implement a range of business operations, technology and knowledge management improvements for teams and systems supporting RITS. This role will be reporting directly to the Project Director – Business. About the role The key responsibilities of the role include: Working with the IT Release Manager and key POP staff to design and implement the RBAs new enterprise release management arrangements. Work with relevant RBA staff and external service providers to develop the key artefacts and processes necessary to support the release management arrangements. Liaise with specialist IT resources who are doing the system development work to support the new release management arrangements. Work with the POP change management team to develop any required training materials Work with key POP and IT staff to help to embed the new release management arrangements into BAU operations. About you Your key experience and technical capabilities include: Experience in stakeholder management and in representing a team across the Bank or similar organisation. Experience working in a project environment. Significant experience in IT release management processes, ideally in organisations with a medium-high complexity IT ecosystem. Knowledge of project, change management, business analysis and/or testing methodologies, frameworks, techniques and tools. Capable writer of IT policy and procedures. Your key qualifications include: Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience.
