Term fulltime vacancy up to 02/06/2025. This role is required to lead critical Business Case activities supporting future project delivery for the new State Emergency Coordination Centre.
The Manager, Major Projects, Physical Assets Services Branch (PASB) is accountable to the Director, Infrastructure & Assets for leading delivery of complex agency initiatives requiring strategic infrastructure planning, site acquisition and disposals, project delivery and accommodation solutions across the SAPOL built asset portfolio for assigned agency initiatives.
The position is responsible for leadership of project activities to deliver fit for purpose infrastructure project solutions with value for money thinking. The role will lead property acquisition activities (owned/leased), planning, design, development, implementation and timely delivery of capital projects for fit for purpose infrastructure and accommodation solutions, and transition / relocation planning within approved budgets.
The position requires a high level of leadership, judgement, management capability, initiative and direction in all aspects of the formulation and implementation of strategic infrastructure and accommodation solutions, maintaining strategic focus on the identification of opportunities for capital efficiency and productivity improvements for each project.
PASB is comprised of six units: Capital Strategy and Projects Unit, Major Projects Unit, Contracts & Impound Unit, Strategic Operations: Fleet & Property, Facilities Management Unit, and Business Unit. Special Conditions The incumbent must hold a current Australian work eligibility status and will be subject to a criminal history check.The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at this remuneration level or equivalent.Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required.The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL's iEngage program.Requirements Tertiary qualification in property or project management or related discipline.Salary ASO8 - $121,107 - $125,679 per annum.
