The Company Harmony Agriculture & Food Company is a leading producer and supplier of premium branded beef to global markets. Their current supply chains produce 4,300t of branded Wagyu F1 beef for sale and distribution annually. Harmony’s core capabilities lie in intensive livestock production and the sales and marketing of premium products. They are a dynamic, energetic agribusiness with exciting plans for growth and currently have an opportunity to join their operations team as they further invest in their supply chain and production division. This is a newly created role to meet the growing demands of the business. The Position Working closely with the Chief Operations Officer, you will assist with livestock oversight across the business’s feedlots and leasehold properties. This will include: Regular travel between sites across Victoria and Southern New South Wales Livestock assessment, including onsite inductions, animal health inspections and diagnosis of animal welfare Accurate record keeping using specialist livestock data management software Assist onsite staff to ensure a high-performance culture across each business unit Work closely with the broader operations and entire Harmony team The Person We are keen to hear from you if you possess the following background, experience and key skills: Experience working in a feedlot or intensive livestock handling operation Previous cattle handling experience, with a keen eye to quickly assess animal health and condition Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with internal and external stakeholders A natural problem solver who can work autonomously but enjoys being part of a broader high performing team Comfortable with regular travel across this region, with a 50/50 split between Melbourne head office and regional sites Relevant tertiary qualifications in an agricultural related discipline highly regarded This is an outstanding opportunity to join this market leading branded beef producer as they continue to experience year on year growth.
