Our client is one of Melbourne's most sought-after employers. With an outstanding office location walking distance from South Yarra station, they need a dedicated Assistant Accountant to join a close-knit and friendly finance team on a full-time temporary to permanent contract.
Reporting to an excellent Finance Manager, the purpose of the Assistant Accountant is to process end to end Accounts Payable related transactions, whilst assisting with week-end and month-end reporting processes for the company.

The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will see you working in a friendly and team focused environment where your duties will include:
1. End to end Accounts Payable processing:Invoice processing.Reconcile supplier accounts.Monthly reconciliations.Invoice Payment.
2. Bank Accounts Reconciliations
3. Month end reporting
4. Balance sheet reconciliations
5. P&L reporting
6. Maintaining Fixed Asset Register
Your Profile
To be successful in this role you will have a minimum 2 years' experience in a high-volume transactional environment. You will possess an intermediate level of Excel skills (pivot tables/ V-lookups), with an aptitude to learn new finance systems quickly.
Excellent communication skills, a customer service approach, and the ability to work to deadlines is also required.
