Ongoing - Full Time - EL1$112,581 - $121,664Campbell, ACTThe Role The Events and Ceremonies team are responsible for the coordination and delivery of the Memorial's commemorative program, including the annual Anzac Day and Remembrance Day national commemorations, minor ceremonies, corporate events and launches; and official visits. These positions support the Senior Manager in the oversight of the Events and Ceremonies team; and their coordination and delivery of the Memorial annual commemorative program, events and official visits. With a high level of initiative and sound judgment, the Managers oversee the day to day operations of the team and supports them in the delivery of their allocated projects and tasks; in addition to staff training and development. Assisting in the high level planning of major projects such as Anzac Day and Remembrance Day, these positions are responsible for records management, procurement, contractor documentation and support in the development of operational documentation, procedures and policies. The roles are required to provide detailed technical advice in relation to event and ceremonial projects and assist in strategic planning and effective risk assessment and management. Highly organised and sound planners, the Managers will work collaboratively to deliver the work program as outlined, while keeping the Senior Manager informed of their status and that of their allocated team. Please Note:The Managers will be required to commit to working outside of core business hours, on weekends, public and school holidays as needed, and during the peak periods of March, April, October and November for the preparations and delivery of the Anzac and Remembrance Day national commemorations.There is a requirement for working outdoors and to undertake manual handling.
