Let’s talk about your qualifications and experience: 5 years of experience as an Oracle Apps DBA, with hands-on experience managing Oracle E-Business Suite (R12.1/R12.2) and Oracle databases (11g/12c/19c). Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite architecture and underlying components. Expertise in Oracle database administration, SQL, PL/SQL, and shell scripting. Proficiency in performance tuning, troubleshooting, and patch management. Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, WebLogic, and Linux/Unix operating systems. Experience in cloning, backup/recovery strategies (using RMAN), and disaster recovery. Hands-on experience with Oracle cloud or other cloud environments (e.g., OCI, AWS, Azure) is a plus. Certifications: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle Certified Expert (OCE) is desirable. Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. The ideal candidate will ensure the high availability, performance, and security of Oracle applications, databases, and underlying infrastructure. They will work closely with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, apply patches, and maintain system integrity while implementing best practices for backup, recovery, and disaster recovery. Key Responsibilities: Oracle E-Business Suite Administration: Manage and administer Oracle E-Business Suite (R12 or later), including installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and cloning. Database Management: Administer Oracle databases (versions 11g, 12c, 19c), ensuring high availability, performance tuning, and security. Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement backup strategies, perform regular backups, and ensure quick recovery from failures using RMAN or other tools. Patching and Upgrades: Apply Oracle patches (including CPU and PSU patches) and perform EBS upgrades in both test and production environments. Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize system performance, including database tuning, application tuning, and query optimization. Security Management: Implement security best practices, including database security, encryption, user management, and role-based access control. Cloning: Perform EBS cloning (copying production environment to test environments) for development and testing purposes. High Availability & Disaster Recovery: Ensure systems are highly available through HA configurations, and implement disaster recovery (DR) plans using technologies like Data Guard. Collaboration: Work closely with IT teams, developers, and functional users to support application requirements and resolve issues. Documentation: Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation for database environments, system configurations, operational procedures, and incident handling.
