We are currently seeking a Support Worker to join our dedicated team in Grafton As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals with disabilities to live as independently as possible while providing compassionate, person-centred care. The ideal candidate will be flexible, reliable, and have a sound understanding of physical, psychosocial, neurological, and cognitive disabilities. Assist clients with personal care (e.g., showering, toileting) and daily living activities such as meal preparation and light housekeeping. Provide mobility support and manual handling assistance when needed. Plan and facilitate recreational activities to promote client engagement and socialization. Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients by following health and safety guidelines and providing first aid when necessary. Document client progress and provide updates on health and wellbeing. Offer emotional support and build trusting, positive relationships with clients. Transport clients to appointments and community activities, ensuring their participation in social events. Qualifications & Requirements: Mandatory Health Vaccines: Flu vaccine and COVID-19 (3 doses). Training & Certifications: Manual Handling, Elder Abuse Prevention, Infection Control, Food Handling, First Aid & CPR. NDIS Modules: Completion of NDIS New Workers Module and NDIS Worker Orientation Module. Clearances: Police Check, NDIS Worker Clearance, and Working with Children Check (WWCC). Other Requirements: 2x Employment References, valid driver's license, and comprehensive car insurance.
