The Primary Care and Community Health Unit consists of 9 centres that provide a range of services for children, young people and their families, adults, older people and their carers. A fantastic opportunity has come up to join Springwood Community Health Team as a Clinical Nurse Consultant Grade 2 (CNC2). The incumbent will be considered as an expert Nurse who will provide leadership, advice and recommendations on all aspects of nursing and consults on matters relating to the safe and appropriate use of nursing practices. The incumbent will work collaboratively to provide safe, compassionate, person-centred health care in collaboration with patients, families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams. In this position, you will be responsible for the provision of clinical supervision to nursing staff and act as a role model in providing nursing care on a regular basis. The CNC2 collaborates with the Women’s Health Physiotherapist in coordinating the provision of high-quality care and holistic management of severe and/or complex menopause symptoms. The service includes the provision of women’s health nursing assessment and interventions, personal management plans and client education regarding increased risks associated with menopause and lifestyle modifications, o versee the development, evaluation and reporting of the Menopause Referral Service in NBMLHD and c ollaborate with South Western Sydney LHD Specialist Menopause Service (Hub) and the Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) in the development and delivery of best practice models of care. What you will bring to the role: Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and current NSW Driver’s License and willingness to use same as required for the position Minimum five years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least three years full time equivalent experience in Women’s Health and post graduate qualifications in Women’s Health including the management of complex symptoms and long-term risks related to menopause or such other qualifications or experience deemed appropriate.
