The Opportunity
Due to retirement, SunRice are now seeking their next Engineering Design Manager. The outgoing Engineering Design Manager describes this role as a position that will constantly challenge you to grow, problem solve, innovate and deal with complex projects and strategies.
You and your team will provide support to the SunRice Group Businesses through the delivery of Engineering Design Services and Standards, and they are going through an exciting and ambitious long-term growth phase with plans to invest, innovate and continue to diversify.
In addition, role responsibilities will also include:
* Working on the long-term strategic plan (10/20/30 year plan) across their global assets based in Australia, PNG, USA, NZ & Vietnam
* Provide & Manage Engineering Standards and Design principles for the company
* Act as a Company Representative on Statutory & Government regulations
* Selection of appropriate solutions for Manufacturing Processes
* Close collaboration with the Project Delivery Team and Reliability Team
* Electrical and Automation design, project delivery and technical support
* Providing Energy & Sustainability audits as well as implementing sustainability projects
* Providing recommendations on sustainability, process & plant improvements, strategic project analysis and manufacturing footprint
About you
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* 15+ years of Engineering experience in a food manufacturing environment (FMCG)
* Demonstrated experience and success in a technical leadership role
* Strong multi-disciplinary knowledge and understanding
* Experience in Project Engineering & Management on major projects
* Strong communication & collaboration skills
* Good understanding of Australian Standards
* Contract Management & administration ability
* The ability to travel for work (when required)
In addition, it would be desirable to have experience in:
* Grains/Rice handling design
* Process Design
* Site Coordination
