Job Title: Health and Safety AdvisorLocation: Sydney, AustraliaReporting to: QHSE Manager & Risk ManagerKey Responsibilities:Develop, implement, maintain and review the QHSE management systemDevelop, implement, maintain and review quality processes for control of documents, records, and data including maintaining both soft and hard QMS filesAssist in the maintenance and monitoring of QHSE objectives, targets, and KPIsPromote a positive QHSE culture that encourages continuous improvement and staff maintaining a high level of awareness and compliance to achieve QHSE outcomesKeep up to date with changes to QHSE legal obligations and standardsFacilitate and ensure effective internal communication and consultative systems are established, maintained, and implementedAct as a committee member and technical advisor on the Quality, Safety, and Environment CommitteesUndertake integrated QHSE audits and inspectionsDevelop and implement HSE training programs (e.g., fire warden, first aid, spill response, other risk-based training)Represent the business in an informed manner showing the highest level of customer service to visitors and internal and external customersPerform ad hoc requests and other duties as you are qualified and suitably trained to undertakeComply with the Company's QHSE policies and programs, including reporting all accidents, incidents, and safety hazards; minimizing environmental impact when necessary; and ensuring work functions comply with food safety procedures developed to meet the compliance of relevant FSANZ and Export standardsLiaise with facilities management and ensure maintenance of fire protection and detection systemsAssist in risk assessments and establish a safe system of work operationsQualifications/Education:Experience in and knowledge of the interpretation and application of quality, health, safety, and environmental legislation/statutory requirementsMinimum Certificate IV in WHS/Environmental Management and/or minimum of 5 years' experience in QHSEExperience in the development and maintenance of QHSE systems (ISO 22000, AS4801/ISO 45001, ISO 14001)Written and verbal communication skills – consultation/negotiationAnalytical/problem-solving skills - identify and assess hazards/risk, develop mitigation strategiesAbility to work independently with good time management skillsWork cooperatively with others to identify and implement mutually beneficial solutionsSalary & Benefits:Sponsorship AvailableSeniority Level:Mid-Senior levelEmployment Type:Full-timeJob Function:Manufacturing and ProductionIndustries:Wholesale, Wholesale Raw Farm Products, and Wholesale Import and Export
