Seeking an experienced Warehouse / Stores Operator to join a team in Kewdale, starting as soon as possible
Your new company
Our client depot, based in Kewdale, are seeking an experienced Stores / Warehouse Operator to join the team. This role would be offered on an initial temporary contract, with a view to apply for the permanent position, should all go well. You will be required to work full-time hours and will be paid at a competitive hourly rate.
Your new role
As the Warehouse Operator, you will be responsible for:
* Sourcing and distribution of materials
* Coordinating material logistics to ensure availability of maintenance, modification and repair activities
* Liaising with customers regarding supply needs
* Inventory control using the inventory management system
* General pick packing, loading and unloading
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be considered, you will need:
* Previous experience in a warehouse environment, carrying out pick-packing and loading/unloading tasks
* Advanced understanding and experience using ERP inventory management systems
* Forklift licence, ideally with experience operating a reach truck
* Advanced customer service skills
* Confident understanding and awareness of health and safety
* Previous experience in a rail environment would make an attractive application
In addition to the above, you must also be able to provide:
* A National Police Clearance, valid within the last 3-months
* 2 references, with one being from the last 12-months
* You must be able to pass a basic drug and alcohol assessment and a Category 3 medical (organised by the department
*Please note that due to the duration of this role, candidates on a Working Holiday Visa will not be considered.
