Business Development Manager
About the role
Are you looking for an opportunity to grow your career as a Business Development Manager while working for an innovative and growing public listed company - Wagners Composite Fibre Technologies Manufacturing group! Working out of our national corporate office based at Wellcamp, Toowoomba you will play a pivotal role in generating new business by building strong relationships with our existing clients while seeking out new opportunities by promoting our products and services to potential clients.
The goal is for you to take ownership to create a sales strategy that will drive sustainable sales growth by enhancing our presence in the market. The increased sales that you will generate will establish the company as the premium solution in the outdoor infrastructure market.
This is a full- time position with a competitive remuneration package including base salary, superannuation, and an incentive program after a qualifying period.
Main Responsibilities
* Proactively identify business opportunities and build a strong client pipeline to promote our outdoor infrastructure market in NSW and Victoria
* Present our products and services to engineering consultants, contractors and local governments which will grow our product development and establish specifications for projects
* Identify leads and prepare detailed quotes based on qualified opportunities
* Develop and forecast growth strategies for both financial gain and customer satisfaction
* Assist in project contract negotiations, ensuring adherence to company policies and guidelines.
About You
To be successful in this role you need to:
* Demonstrate success in a similar sales / business development role preferably within the manufacturing or infrastructure industry
* Prove your ability to drive new business by generating quality leads on a consistent basis and achieving growth
* Possess exceptional business planning capabilities and a strategic mindset to create sales strategies
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to connect with existing clients and seek out new clients to forge lasting relationships
* Knowledge of local councils, state and federal government construction market, along with the general civil construction and engineering markets would be highly advantageous
* Knowledge of contract and tendering processes
* Previous CRM experience (highly regarded)
Essential Requirements
* Must be able to travel interstate at least 1 to 2 weeks per month to attend meetings, conferences and events
* Must have a C Class Drivers Licence
