The Team: Acute Medical Unit LGH: The Acute Medical Unit is a 25-bed unit with 9 negative pressure rooms. Providing care for higher acuity medical patients. The Role: The role of the Clinical Nurse Educator is to facilitate and support the development of the nursing workforce by planning, promoting, coordinating, implementing and evaluating education programs in the clinical setting/ward/unit. The occupant of this role is responsible for: Effective planning, implementation and evaluation of a range of educational programs and activities for the nursing workforce. Consulting, liaising with and assisting the Nurse Unit Manager with implementation of education related activities associated with performance development plan(s). Program delivery across a range of practice settings and learner groups as required. Actively participating in his/her own continuing professional development.
