Successful candidates will have the opportunity to contribute to important social policy and intergovernmental relations issues to deliver outcomes for the people of NSW.The role involves:Research and analysis to inform policy advice and proposals;Reviewing key documents such as Cabinet submissions and meeting papers;High-level administrative, policy and project support;Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders;Preparation of briefing and correspondence.We have an ongoing opportunity in the Intergovernmental Relations team. The Assistant Analyst would work on key intergovernmental issues across economic and environmental policy, as well as supporting the work of the broader team.We also have a temporary opportunity in the Health and Education team. The Assistant Analyst would work on Aboriginal reform and Closing the Gap policy issues, as well as supporting the work of the broader team.About the TeamThe Health, Education and Intergovernmental Relations Branch covers health, education, early childhood policy, skills, disability reform, and leads engagement with the Commonwealth and other states and territories.The Intergovernmental Relations team leads on strategic advice to Government on high priority intergovernmental policy matters and negotiations.
