The Role
Join our renowned educational institution as we seek a qualifiedClassroom Teacher to fill a specialist role in teaching PerformingArts (Year 7) and Theatre (Year 8) which may include a Year 10Theatre Studies elective. This is a dynamic, part-time, fixed termopportunity, commencing Term 3 until the end of the year at ourWheelers Hill Campus.
The ideal candidate will showcase a profound passion for thePerforming Arts, captivating and stimulating students while adeptlyincorporating innovative learning technologies. We seek anindividual of high energy, enthusiasm, forward-thinking mindset,and aspirational teaching practices to join our dedicated Theatreteam, working collaboratively to achieve learning area goals.
Key Duties
1. Review and assess students at the beginning of each program to provide a flexible program that caters for individual students
2. Deliver learning programs that demonstrate a research-based knowledge of how students learn and integrate Formative Assessment Techniques
3. Evaluate personal teaching and learning programs including feedback from students and assessment data to inform planning
4. Design and deliver conceptually driven, student-centered learning activities
5. Model high expectations to enable a safe and supportive classroom culture
6. Provide Continuous Feedback within school standards and timelines
7. Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours
Skills andExperience
8. Demonstrated experience teaching middle years students
9. A genuine passion and enthusiasm for the Performing Arts and a positive, can-do attitude
10. Is values-driven, able to work collaboratively in a small team, and works to achieves Learning Area goals set
11. Demonstrated commitment to on-going professional development and learning
12. Interest in co-curricular aspects is desirable as well as an ability to contribute to developing the Performing Arts/Theatre curriculum
13. Working knowledge of the IB philosophy and Approaches to Teaching is advantageous
14. Holds a Teaching Qualification alongside exceptional knowledge and experience in Theatre (or training in Theatrical Education)
15. Holds a current VIT Registration
