About the role An exciting opportunity exists for a Psychologist to join Mater South Brisbane in a permanent full-time or part-time basis, with anticipation of this role to commence in March 2023. The Social Work and Psychology department at Mater Health provides a broad range of public and private acute health services with adults, women’s health, neonatology, children and adolescent services. The Mater Adults Psychology team provides specialist services to inpatients and outpatients across the hospital in areas such as Oncology, Gastroentorolgy, Cardiac, Renal and Neurology. As a member of the Psychology team, you will provide patient centred, evidence based clinical care to adults who have been diagnosed with complex medical conditions. Salary range: $43.68 - $58.59 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 access to many staff benefits What you’ll be doing Independently undertake routine clinical practice within established clinical protocols to achieve patient focussed outcomes Apply increasing clinical judgement to more complex cases under clinical practice supervision Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within professional and multidisciplinary teams Identify, develop and participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve clinical services and patient outcomes About you Essential Qualifications General registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA) / Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate. Highly Desirable Qualifications Postgraduate qualifications in Clinical, Clinical Neuro, Educational & Developmental or Health Psychology. Working towards or attained PsyBA approved supervisor. Working towards or attained PsyBA area of practice endorsement in Clinical, Clinical Neuro, Educational & Developmental or Health Psychology Why join us?
