JLT Risk Solutions Pty Ltd (a Marsh McLennan business), trading as JLT Public Sector (JLT) is committed to delivering specialist risk services and products to Local Government through the development of the diverse Local Government Mutual Schemes, nationally.In keeping with our undertaking to deliver contemporary, sustainable and innovative services, JLT has designed and developed the National Local Government Vulnerability program.The NLGVP reflects the ideals of all governments, that local government is an essential stakeholder in the build of community resilience to reduce the impact and cost of disaster caused by natural hazard events.The NLGVP is an ambitious yet essential next step in maturing local government's strategic and risk reduction framework as it strives to anticipate and mitigate the cost of disaster/climate risk.JLT is currently expanding its team of specialist service delivery practitioners to enable the efficient and effective roll-out of the NLGVP across 537 councils.This has created an opportunity for the newly created senior role of National Program Executive, Resilience. We will count on you to: Drive the engagement and act as the central contact point for the ongoing delivery of the National Local Government Vulnerability program locally and across the nation.Engage with, and deliver, the NLGVP to the sector in a way that shapes the strategic risk framework and future for local government.Ensure that the NLGVP and profile data is incorporated into established council processes via the state based Mutual Schemes, are strategically aligned, impactful and communicated effectively both internally and externally across the local government sector.Provide technical advice to support the ongoing delivery of the NLGVP, including being a part of the facilitation team for on-site facilitation.What you need to have: An understanding of and/or previous experience in a local/state government risk environment.An understanding of the three tiers of Australian government, and corresponding legislation.An understanding of program management principles including planning, monitoring, evaluation and compliance.Demonstrated competency in data collection, management and analysis with capacity to acquire new digital skills working with existing software.Advanced communication skills with demonstrated ability to engage, build rapport, "carry the conversation" and present recommendations at the CEO and senior executive level.What makes you stand out?
