JOB DESCRIPTION Wood is recruiting for an E&I Commissioning Engineer (Oil & Gas) to join our growing team in Darwin, NT. This is a permanent role to join our expanding Oil and Gas Operations team, due to recently securing several large projects with existing long-term clients, in addition to partnering with a major player in the Oil & Gas industry to provide Brownfield Engineering, Procurement and Construction services on a long-term, Engineering Service Contract.Wood's Operations Australia / Asia Pacific (West) business delivers engineering & brownfield modifications, operations & maintenance, procurement, construction, asset management and optimization, and technical services to the Oil & Gas sector - with long-term partnerships supporting the region's most prominent producers located in the Northern Territory, Western Australia, and South-East Asia.RESPONSIBILITIES You will be reporting directly to Construction & Commissioning Engineer Lead. To be successful in your role, you will have prior commissioning experience in both Onshore and Offshore LNG within an EPCM engineering environment.Your responsibilities will be:Accountable for the safe and timely preparation and execution of the project Electrical & Instrument commissioning work scope in adherence with project HSEQ safety targets, procedures and practices Accountable for ensuring electrical commissioning is carried out in accordance with project schedules and budget To play an active role in ensuring that all project HSE goals are achieved and where possible exceeded Actively participate in all company and project safety initiatives To process safe completion of designated electrical commissioning activities in line with the project schedule and milestones in a consistent and timely manner To assist in maintenance of the project budget through diligence and utilization of efficient and working practices Liaise with the electrical engineering office to ensure that the electrical fabrication drawings are produced in line with commissioning requirements Audit site / project electrical activities on a regular basis to ensure all compliance with project safety, environmental, and quality requirements Monitor and report electrical commissioning progress on a regular basis Ensure a safe Electrical Permit to Work and isolation system is in place and adhered to At Wood, we look for innovative ideas and an agile approach to deliver the best possible outcomes and offer you an opportunity to progress and thrive by working collectively and making an active contribution.QUALIFICATIONS You will be an Australian citizen or be eligible to hold Permanent Residency (PR) to work lawfully in Australia.
