About the Position An opportunity exists for a Coal Quality Tester to work on a full-time basis at our Laboratory Site in Gladstone and work locally. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be involved in aspects of Quality, Turnaround Time, Client Service and Productivity.These roles will include duties within the Physical Testing and Analytical Laboratory and potentially sampling at the port sites. The Coal Quality Tester position is an entry-level position with the prospect of a long-term role for the right person. Day to Day Full training will be provided to the successful candidates. However, to be considered for this position you will have:Collection and Sample receipt of Coal samplesPerforming a range of preparation and analytical testsManual handling of buckets and drumsSample PreparationData EntryChecking and validating all resultsMaintaining laboratory equipmentDriving vehicle to collect and deliver samplesWorking at the Port occasionally Skills and Attributes A strong focus on safety, quality and teamworkAttention to detailAbility to multi-taskGood Organisation and Communication SkillsReliable and TrustworthyGood attitude and eager to learnPrevious industry experience would be advantageousValid Manual Drivers' LicenseAbility to work rotating shifts, day and afternoons.
