The Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg is seeking experienced PACU, Anaesthetics and Scrub Scout Registered Nurses to join our Perioperative team.
Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg's perioperative services comprise four operating theatres, central sterilising and a dedicated Day Surgery Unit. The Theatre Complex provides pre- and post-operative recovery room care and specialised endoscopic and laparoscopic procedures. The surgical case mix includes dental, endoscopy, ENT, general surgery, gynaecology, ophthalmology, orthopaedics and urology.
What you'll be doing: Registered Nurses provide evidence-based and contemporary patient-centred clinical care in collaboration with other multidisciplinary healthcare team members. The delivery of care extends to patient advocacy with particular consideration to patients' physical, emotional and spiritual needs that contribute to optimal clinical outcomes.
Registered Nurses are responsible for ensuring safe and efficient care management within the scope of practice and professional guidelines. They must adhere to legislation, regulations, standards, codes, qualifications, registration and clinical competencies.

To be successful in this position, you will have:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no practice restrictions Minimum of one-year post-graduate perioperative or Day Surgery experience However, if you have limited perioperative experience but have transferrable skills, training is available Excellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Demonstrated commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principles Mater is Queensland's largest and most innovative not-for-profit healthcare service, providing care for almost 700,000 patients a year across a network of 11 hospitals.
