Due to growth, we have the opportunity for a Senior Project Manager to join the Civil and Infrastructure team in Brisbane.
The Opportunity - About the Role
Be part of the highly regarded Queensland Civil and Infrastructure Project Management team, managing urban and major infrastructure projects across Redland, Ipswich, Moreton, Logan and greater Brisbane regions. In this role, you will provide specialist Civil Project Management expertise throughout the project life cycle and be part of a team delivering unique and challenging projects. You will use your strong communication skills to navigate a broad stakeholder group to achieve business outcomes.
Your main responsibilities will involve but will not be limited to:
1. Provide civil project management expertise from project inception to completion.
2. Ensure projects are scoped, designed, approved and delivered safely, to required quality, on time and budget.
3. Prepare and execute delivery strategies and employ specialist project management tools to deliver multi-staged projects and lead in infrastructure.
4. Drive operational improvement through the sharing of best practice across the business.
5. Proactive communication and reporting on delivery milestones.
6. Facilitate, manage and drive efficiency through project cost plans in partnership with Development Managers, authorities, consultants and contractors to realise cost savings.
7. Leading the procurement and delivery of civil, electrical and landscape construction in accordance with the project program.
8. Assisting the development team with technical support and delivery inputs.
9. Achieve project construction milestones across multiple construction fronts in the State’s project portfolio.
10. Manage compliance to development obligations including environmental, cultural heritage and other matters of significance.
About you:
1. Extensive Project Management experience with proven successful outcomes in the delivery of civil infrastructure projects.
2. Extensive experience in managing construction teams and relevant consultants.
3. Experience and understanding of the development construction industry (design, building and construction).
4. Strong ability to lead, drive and motivate contractors and consultants to achieve program milestones.
5. Ability to work autonomously, demonstrate initiative, curiosity, prioritise and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and changing environment.
6. Preferably you will hold a tertiary qualification in a relevant field of Engineering (Civil, Environmental) or Construction Management.
