Consisting of about 160 staff, GEGAC is a Not for Profit organisation that delivers holistic services in the areas of Primary Health, Social Services, Elders & Disability and Early Childhood Education. Position Purpose The Kinship Care Case Manager provides ongoing support to children and young people in care along with their Kinship Carers. We aim to ensure that our Carers have the resources and skills they need to provide quality care. The Kinship Care Case Manager will be non-judgemental & have a commitment to best practice to ensure compliance with the VIC Statutory Out of Home Care Standards. Key Selection Criteria Demonstrated understanding of challenges experienced by Aboriginal clients and commitment to providing a culturally appropriate service. Demonstrated capacity to work autonomously to develop, implement & manage effective case plans for multiple children or young people simultaneously. Demonstrated understanding of trauma and its impact on the development and behaviour of children. Understanding the complex care needs of children and young people living in Out of Home Care. Knowledge of the Children, Youth and Families Act 2005. Ability to prepare high-quality reports, maintain accurate records and use computer-based technologies for administrative practices. Ability to adapt rapidly to changing circumstances and organisational requirements. Qualifications and Registrations Requirement (Essential or Desirable).
