The hospital has 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15-bed Intensive Care Unit.Our private maternity suite including 6 birthing suites and a freshly renovated special care baby nursery is available for families across the Newcastle region and is renowned for exceptional patient care.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist nurses, midwives, or hospital staff in carrying out patient care dutiesWork as part of the healthcare team; practice in accordance with state legislation and within the designated scope of practiceProvide direct care to women and their families within the AIM scope of practice and level of experienceEnsure women are supported through all phases of pregnancy, labour, birth, and the postnatal periodSuccessful completion of Year 1 of Bachelor of MidwiferyCurrent enrolment and ongoing progress in the Bachelor of Midwifery course with a satisfactory academic record maintainedExcellent ability to plan and prioritise workHighly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a multidisciplinary teamFlexibility to manage shift work (including day & night shifts) over 7 daysWhy Healthscope?When you join Healthscope, you become part of our Community of Care.
