We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Hygiene Consultant to join our growing team in Newcastle. We require a self-motivated, high-calibre consultant to assist with input to develop both technical excellence and industry leading quality systems and processes. Responsibilities The purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive, high-quality Occupational Hygiene consultancy services to a wide range of clients in specialised areas, including construction, mining, Defence, manufacturing, restoration. The Consultant will provide a range of the following services and activities to clients of EDP: • Perform qualitative assessments of workplace hazards; • Development and delivery of occupational hygiene training programs tailored to meet the demands of clients; • Plan and conduct Noise, Lighting and Air quality assessments; • Development of exposure monitoring strategies to assess inhalable/respirable dust or other airborne contaminants; • Provide specialised guidance to clients based on legislative requirements or relevant standards and industry best practices; • Prepare accurate, high-quality reports in a timely fashion; • Consult with clients to develop innovative and cost-effective solutions; • Manage projects from proposal stage to delivery; • Work collaboratively in a team and independently to deliver projects on time and on budget; • Business development activities for new and existing accounts; • Maintain existing client relationships to expand regional business opportunities and services; and • Other related activities as required and instructed to complete from time to time. Essential Skills and Experience Required Qualifications / Training • Tertiary Qualification in occupational hygiene, science, engineering or equivalent industry experience; and • Relevant training courses. Experience • 2 to 5 years of related work within the field of Occupational Hygiene. Skills / Knowledge • MS office packages including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; • Accuracy and attention to detail; • Report writing; • Organisational skills; and • Commercial skills. Personal Qualities • Ability to develop good relationships with clients and representatives at all levels; and • Ability to work in a team of consultants. Professional Affiliation • Member of AIOH. Desirable Skills and Experience Required Qualifications / Training • Bachelor’s Degree; and • Masters Degree. Experience • 2 yrs. related work in the field of Occupational Hygiene.
