Key Responsibilities
The following responsibilities are critical to the success of this role:
* Identify and address technical accounting and audit issues
* Perform reviews of audit work
* Review financial statements to ensure compliance with Accounting Standards and prepare reports and opinions to management
* Summarise the key areas of the engagement for the partner
* Ensure completion of each assignment to a high quality standard, within budget and on or before deadlines
* Conduct various audit engagements simultaneously with numerous engagement team members per audit
* Negotiate fees and demonstrate commercial responsibility for profitability of each client
* Contribute to meetings and make effective presentations to staff and clients
* Assist with management and co-ordination of the audit team including training, mentoring and methodology compliance
* Monitor staffing requirements and future resource planning issues
* Assist partners in business development and marketing activities
Education Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A Business/Commerce degree with Accounting Major
* Completion of CA or equivalent
Demonstrated Experience & Attributes

* 5-7 years' experience in audit

* Detailed working knowledge and application of Corporations Act, Australian Accounting and Auditing Standards and other applicable legislation
