Dispensary duties as required. Promotion of both safety and quality as key aspects of drug therapy. Participation in quality improvement and professional development, as well as contribution to education and supervision of other staff and students.Where You'll Be WorkingLiverpool Hospital, founded in 1813, is the major health service for south-western Sydney, providing services to the local government area of Liverpool City Council as well as district services to residents and visitors in the area.How to ApplyTo be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible.Current Authority to Practice as a Pharmacist with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a registered pharmacist working in hospital pharmacy AND EITHER: A minimum of 12 months experience working as a clinical pharmacist in in the nominated specialty area (or a similar specialty area) OR Relevant postgraduate qualifications and a minimum of 6 months experience in the nominated specialty area (or a similar specialty area)Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of hospital staff, and patients and carersDemonstrated ability to display judgement and independence in problem solvingDemonstrated competence in clinical drug knowledge and experience in applying that knowledge appropriately to clinical settings including participation in the development or review of medication policies and guidelinesDemonstrated ability to work independently as well as within multidisciplinary teams including a record of participation in clinical meetings and medical roundsDemonstrated ability to promote teamwork and to supervise the activities of pharmacy staff and provide guidance in the specialty field for other staffProven organisational and time management skills and the ability to prioritise according to organisational needsDemonstrated contribution to quality assurance activitiesDemonstrated record of participation in teaching programs with other pharmacists, nursing staff or other health care providersTo be eligible for permanent appointment to a position in NSW Health, you must have Australian citizenship or permanent Australian residency.At South Western Sydney Local Health District we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer, where we don’t just accept differences but we honour and support it.
