The single most important goal of AMAH is to create an environment that facilitates clinical recovery, supports individual recovery efforts and strives to minimise service system barriers to the recovery process. Workforce Development and Education AMAH Workforce Development and Education is a dynamic team of interdisciplinary clinicians including lived experience Peers providing training and education to Nursing, Peer Workers and Allied Health staff working in all areas of psychiatry. We work closely with management and staff to support cultural change and personal development using a collaborative approach. What you’ll be doing This position is part of an experiential 14 week Peer Cadet Internship scheme within AMAH. Experiential learning is the process of learning and making meaning from direct experience, through reflection on doing, rather than coming and listening to lectures. It is designed to build upon and enhance traditional peer specialist training and core competencies currently learnt through Cert 4 certificates and or Intentional Peer Support training. You will participate in a wide range of clinical settings, including inpatient settings, crisis teams, psychosocial rehabilitation programs, and peer-run programs, across both adult and aged psychiatry.
