Reporting into our CFO & Supply Chain Director, this role will be responsible for managing the overall Supply Chain function of Sapphire Group’s products including all suppliers and procurement of goods, with a focus on maintaining product quality. This role has 4 direct reports and is a permanent full-time position.What you'll do:Design and implement a management and reporting framework for supply management.Ensure end to end management of suppliers and performance (this includes process, design and reporting).Establish and set contracts as well as KPI’s for key suppliers.Oversee the procurement of all components by the Demand planning team.Ensure effective risk management of all raw material components through secondary suppliers or risk management plans.Nurture and develop Supplier relationships which will be used to improve service delivery and reduce lead times.Ensure production planning to be undertaken by the team based on supply of raw materials and working with Operations Team.Communicate, participate and contribute at senior management meetings and strategic reviews.Lead the Supply Chain and Procurement team, ensuring procurement function is effective.Develop and implement short, medium and long-term strategic plans in line with the company objectives.Maximize efficiencies with Sapphire Group suppliers including establishing and maintaining supply contracts, negotiating best possible prices for all raw materials, improving lead times, reducing & optimizing working capital, improving payment terms, conducting regular audits of new and existing suppliers to meet company standards, securing costs to target and KPI’s, and managing Inbound Freight costs & efficiencies.Who you are:Tertiary degree in Business, Commerce, Engineering, Science or other appropriate qualifications.Proven track record of success in Operations, Supply Chain management / senior management roles in previous organizations, preferably in manufacturing of high volume consumer goods, cosmetics, beauty or FMCG.Understanding of the impact of supply chain operations on the P&L of the business.Experience managing local and international suppliers (specifically China) and negotiating supply agreements.Significant experience in inventory systems, sales forecasting, order dispatch and delivery systems.Excellent communicator (verbal and written).High-level planning, negotiation and organization skills.Highly developed problem-solving skills.High level computer skills in Microsoft Office.Sounds like you?
