This Iconic Project has and will continue to create its own legacy in Australian history. An exciting opportunity for a Lead Payroll Timekeeper to join the team on a FIFO -14/7 roster. Site Based. Job description: Purpose of the Role: The Lead Payroll Timekeeper is responsible for leading the timekeeping team to meet deadlines, maintaining data accuracy and promoting a positive and collaborative team culture. Qualifications: Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field such as accounting - preferred White Card Experience: Minimum 2 years' experience working in a similar role, preferably in the construction industry Previous experience leading a small team - preferred Experience working across multiple systems, including Rosterspace, E7 and Microsoft Office Suite - preferred Required Competencies: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team Ability to adhere to deadlines and targets and effectively priorities tasks Exceptional planning and organisational skills High attention to detail Sound negotiation skills Outstanding customer service skills Demonstrates accountability and reliability Excellent record-keeping and time management skills Exceptional knowledge and ability in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint Core Accountabilities and Responsibilities: Lead the timekeeping team to ensure the team continue to meet deadlines whilst promoting a healthy team culture. Review timekeeping procedures to ensure continuous improvement. Maintain an accurate record of labour hours worked by each employee on each job site. Communicate with supervisors to provide updates on work progress or any issues that arise. Calculate timesheets based on work orders, including start and end times, breaks and lunch hours. Ensure timekeeping records are stored securely. Report any timekeeping irregularities to supervisors for further investigation. Record timekeeping data on spreadsheets or other computer software programs. Review timesheets against approved rosters in line with the relevant EA and follow up on any discrepancies. Respond to pay queries. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key site personnel.
