Looking for a motivated individual to provide exemplary technical builds. As a key member of the engineering support team, the Avionics Test Technician will work closely with engineers to produce new designs and contribute suggested modifications for producibility.
Responsibilities:
• Provides test station build support for research, design, development, or manufacturing activities for various internal customers.
• Reading engineering drawings and using lookup tools.
• Multi-pin cable and connector construction and continuity verification
• Prepares and solders all levels of electronic components onto Printed Circuit Boards (PCB’s), cable connectors and electronic parts according to specifications.
• Knowledge of different soldering materials, fluxes, and solders, and their appropriate usage. Familiarity with soldering equipment, tools, and accessories, and the ability to operate and maintain them effectively.
• Panel and fixture construction, integrated rack installation.
• Documents test solution design modifications and has responsibility for documentation maintenance.
• Assists engineers with the development of new engineering processes and/or products to ensure their manufacturability, under supervision may recommend design changes.
• Perform as member of design team including participant role utilizing effective communication skills.
• Solid understanding of written/verbal instruction methods used by customers.
• May assist in some orienting, training, and assigning work of technical/business support employees.
Basic Qualifications:
• Degree or completed coursework in engineering technology or electronics.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety regulations.
• Excellent written, verbal, and telephonic communication skills.
• Willingness to learn and accept constructive feedback.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Have domain knowledge of avionics products.
• Prior experience working in an electronics manufacturing or laboratory role.
• Prior experience as a certified inspector.
• Experience reading engineering drawings and using lookup tools.
• Experience with multi-pin cable and connector construction.
• Experience with panel and fixture construction and integrated rack installation.
• Programming experience (Turbo Atlas, C, LabView, Test Stand)
