Job Title: Area Manager
We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to join our Customer Fulfillment team at Amazon's Fulfillment Center in Moorebank.
As an Area Manager, you will lead and develop a team of Amazon associates responsible for receiving, storing, picking, packing, or shipping products. Your primary goal is to optimize delivery processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and cost-effective customer order fulfillment.
You will collaborate with peers to maintain seamless workflows and meet customer expectations. A 4-day on, 3-day off shift pattern applies.
Main Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop a team of Amazon associates
* Maintain Health and Safety standards within your area of responsibility, promoting a positive Health and Safety culture
* Establish performance goals and objectives to achieve customer promise expectations and ensure accuracy and quality
* Collaborate with support teams, including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources, to develop plans that meet business objectives
* Partner with the management team to establish and maintain quality control standards
* Review work forecasts and determine requirements to produce during the day to meet overall building objectives
Requirements:
* Experience in Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field
* Management experience involving sizable teams; able to motivate others and build strong relationships
* Demonstrated ability in problem-solving and analytical capabilities, including conducting Dive Deep analysis on complex processes
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Direct management experience for employees and their performance
* Experience with performance metrics and process improvement
* Flexibility to work weekends and/or shifts regularly
* Experience in Microsoft Office applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
* Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or equivalent qualification
