About our Team
As the Passenger Attendant you will be responsible for checking tickets, maintaining manifests, providing exceptional customer service and supporting the Passenger Services Supervisor onboard our long distance Traveltrain services. As this role is based at Platform 10 Roma Street Station, you will primarily work on board our Spirit of Queensland (Brisbane to Cairns), the Westlander (Brisbane to Charleville), Spirit of the Outback (Brisbane to Longreach) and Rockhampton Tilt Train (Brisbane to Rockhampton) services where you can expect to be away for up to 4 days at any given time.
You will join a team that consists of six experienced Passenger Attendants however when on board the train you will be the sole Passenger Attendant but you will work closely with an experienced and supportive team of up to ten consisting of the Passenger Services Supervisor, Passenger Services Coordinator and Customer Service Attendants.

This is a permanent full-time opportunity.
You will be required to work a variety of days and nights which will include weekends, public holidays and overnight shifts on a rotating roster.

About the role
• Create a memorable onboard customer experience
• Check the cleanliness of the train and the operation of all facilities at regular intervals and report any concerns
• Check passenger’s tickets against the manifest to ensure everyone is seated correctly and are on the right train
• Assist with loading and unloading of passenger baggage
• Ensure the safety and well-being of our passengers by reporting any operational issues
• Assist the Passenger Services Supervisor with any assistance as required
