YEM Technology is currently seeking an experienced Chemical Engineer to join our team at the Sino Iron Project, located at Cape Preston, 100km southwest of Karratha in Western Australia. This role involves working FIFO (Fly In, Fly Out) from Perth on a 14:7 roster. It entails providing engineering and technical assistance to the project team, subcontractors and field supervision, while working under the guidance of senior engineers.

Task & Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll be responsible for a variety of tasks, including:
* Provide engineering and technical assistance to the project team.
* Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies for chemical processes.
* Analyse chemical processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
* Monitor and troubleshoot equipment performance to ensure smooth operations.
* Assist in the selection, installation, and maintenance of chemical processing equipment.
* Contribute to the planning, execution, and evaluation of small to medium-scale engineering projects.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and electrical engineers, to meet project objectives.
* Collect, analyse, and interpret process and operational data to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
* Evaluate alternative materials and methods for cost-saving and sustainability initiatives.
* Ensure adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and industry standards in all processes and designs.
