About the role We are seeking an experienced trade compliance specialist to join L3Harris as a Trade Compliance Manager. Working with a highly skilled and tight-knit cross-functional team, you will ensure L3Harris's adherence to legislative requirements and policies concerning the import, export, transfer and movement of sensitive technology and data – with particular emphasis on compliance with U.S. Export legislation. Reporting to the General Manager locally, and the Segment Trade Compliance Director internationally, your remit will be as broad as it is challenging. Your day-to-day activities will include but not be limited to: managing AU-US Defence Trade Cooperation Treaty obligations, preparing & submitting export license applications, providing expert advice on import/export control issues, maintaining all the requisite records for audit preparedness and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and applicable legislation. About you To be successful in this role and to best leverage the opportunities provided by L3Harris, some skills & experience ideal applicants will bring include: Extensive experience in a similar role, with deep understanding of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and Australian Defence Export Control regulations. Competency in interpreting export legislation. Experience providing expert advice and training to operational and project teams.
