Fulltime: 38 hours per week

Remuneration: $70,000 to $85,000 + Superannuation per annum commensurate with experience

Located in Regional North Queensland in Mount Isa the eatery is currently looking for a hardworking and dedicated Chef to join the team.
Duties, Responsibilities and Skills include:
- Plan menus, estimate food and labour costs and food preparation issues with managers or head chef.
- Monitor quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
- Order food, kitchen supplies and equipment
- Prepare and store food, ensuring stock rotation and control is maintained (freeze and preserve foods)
- Preparation of meals, ensuring presentation, portion control and quality is of the highest standard
- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures
- Liaise with Head Chef or Managers on Functions or Special requirements
- Maintain kitchen equipment and individual tools of the trade
- Constantly update knowledge and skills to keep abreast of industry trends
- Train and supervisor apprentices, trainees and other kitchen staff
- Assist or compile kitchen rosters and staffing reviews
- Oversee and maintain, the highest standards of hygiene, practice OH&S and building safety procedures
- Attend to customer complaints in prompt and satisfactory manner
- Select and train staff as required and appropriate
To be considered for the position you must have;
- At least 2 years experience in a similar role
- Relevant qualifications in commercial cookery
