Full job description $91,702 - $104,753 + up to 15.4% Superannuation Osborne - SA The Role In this role, you will perform technical based quality control & assurance, technical project management support and provide technical based engineering support to support the Collins Class Submarines. You will provide technical mechanical knowledge and advice, engaging with stakeholders to deliver complex tasks. You will be accountable under limited direction to perform and achieve technical mechanical work within an integrated workforce. You will be performing work of a complex and/or critical nature across a wide range of submarine systems. You will be providing advice and direction on the introduction of design changes, maintenance deferral and conducting technical investigations. This role will require a hands-on approach and will require you to access workshops and the submarine regularly including confined spaces. You will conduct witnessing activities on board the submarine during survey and test & inspection activities and sign acceptance documentation assessing the system is fit for purpose. You will apply technical knowledge and experience, understand priorities to identify, define issues and implement corrective actions. About our Team The Principal Naval Representative – South Australia team coordinate of all aspects of submarine maintenance with particular emphasis on Scope, Cost, Schedule and Quality directly related to Full Cycle Docking (FCD) maintenance. We work with the Collins Submarine Engineering team and Defence Industry to ensure that when submarines exit FCD they are compliant with the requirements of Navy Seaworthiness. The Collins Submarine Program within the National Shipbuilding Sustainment Group (NSSG) is responsible for the maintenance and programmed upgrade of Australia’s Collins Class submarines. The Program works in partnership with the Royal Australian Navy and Industry to deliver the strategic submarine capability to the nation.
