Position Profile: The Medical Workforce Unit (MWU) are seeking appropriately skilled and experienced Senior Program Officers for this pool recruitment. The MWU are looking to immediately fill 1.2 FTE for a 12-month period, with the possibility of extension or permanency. As a Senior Program Officer, you will work closely with the Senior Development Officer to provide input and project management for medical workforce recruitment initiatives, programs, and projects. This role supports the development, implementation, and evaluation of medical workforce programs, projects, and policies. Additionally, you will prepare reports, ministerial correspondence, and senior management submissions. The primary focus of this role will be the management and evaluation of the centralised recruitment of Junior Medical Officers across the WA Health System. The Senior Program Officer will build strong relationships and work closely with Health Service Providers to ensure effective and timely recruitment, maintain standards, and contribute to ongoing improvements in recruitment practices. The successful applicant will ideally have recruitment experience, with an understanding of the medical workforce; however, training will be provided.
