Our Sales and Marketing teams are located across Australia, Europe and the USA. Position Overview The Marine Operations Manager role is based in beautiful Port Lincoln, South Australia. Relocation assistance will be offered to the successful candidate if required. The position reports directly to the General Manager of Operations and is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day marine operations activities to ensure alignment with our overall farming and harvest plans. As a key member of the Clean Seas Operations Leadership team, you will work closely with other leaders to continually build and maintain a cohesive team environment. The role will see you lead, mentor and coach the teams performing day-to-day marine operations activities including fish feeding, bathing, net changes, pen splits and count, etc. whilst focusing on operational performance and work standards, positive behaviours and professional development of the team. You will also work closely with maintenance teams, ensuring vessels are maintained, inspected and run in accordance with company policy and legislative requirements. Advanced leadership, organisational and problem-solving skills and the ability to build capability and confidence in our teams are essential to drive a culture of safety-first behaviours and continuous improvement across marine operations. Key Responsibilities: Management of day-to-day marine operations Provide strong leadership to teams performing operational activities e.g., fish bathing, feeding, net changes, pen split and counts, tows, etc. Lead and drive a safety-first cultureat all times Improve operational efficiencies and productivity by structuring workflow and coaching supervisors to appropriately allocate labour Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and build systems to track compliance Work closely with the Operations Leadership team Contribute to major asset procurement projects to align infrastructure to farming needs Ensure farming leases are maintained to standard Build systems that meet audit requirements, and are audit ready Ensure vessels are maintained, inspected and run in accordance with company policy and legislative requirements Work closely with our maintenance team to ensure preventative maintenance tasks are resourced as required Provide ongoing coaching and development for the team Develop and maintain a process of clear and effective communication cross- functionally across the business Assist in building a culture of teamwork across all operations Required Skills & Experience: Appropriate qualifications applicable to this Aquaculture Management role Broad Aquaculture knowledge with experience in a similar role within the industry Proven experience leading teams in a dynamic marine environment Competent and capable of working at sea Proven experience leading a safety-first culture Strong communication and relationship building skills Good organisational skills including a demonstrated ability to determine priorities and meet tight deadlines Good problem solving and decision-making skills with attention to detail Strong coaching and development skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to positively influence organisational and team culture.
