About the Opportunity: As an Orange Door Practitioner, you will deliver specialized responses to victims of crime, encompassing intake assessment, risk management, care planning, brief intervention, case management, and community education. Key qualities sought for this role include: Demonstrated effectiveness in working with individuals affected by family violence, including male victims and their children. Proficiency in conducting risk assessments using the MARAM framework, safety planning for women and children, and familiarity with FVISS and CISS. A high-level understanding of trauma's impact and the ability to employ trauma-informed practice interventions. Capability to support clients with cultural nuances, advocate for their needs, and provide a culturally safe and non-judgmental space. Knowledge of non-collusive practice, identification of predominant aggressors, and understanding of how family violence affects children and young people. Strong assessment skills, formulation of client-centered case plans using a strength-based approach, and effective collaboration with stakeholders.
