We can help people with most areas criminal law, family law and every day civil law legal issues. We give legal advice, help at court and do family dispute resolution. We can do this over the telephone or at one of our 28 offices. About Parramatta Justice Precinct (PJP) The Parramatta Justice Precinct, inaugurated in 2008 by then NSW Premier Morris Iemma, is rapidly evolving into the vibrant epicenter of Sydney’s legal landscape. Initially designed to alleviate the burden on city courthouses, it now buzzes with activity, housing key institutions like the New South Wales Department of Attorney General and Justice, the Legal Aid Commission, and the Office of Trustee and Guardian. Beyond its judicial and administrative roles, the precinct also caters to various community health and welfare needs, making it a dynamic hub of legal and social services. About the Role Provide legal advice and representation to clients of Legal Aid NSW, including in more complex matters, in accordance with Legal Aid NSW policies and guidelines in order to contribute to the implementation of Legal Aid NSW’s mission to deliver high quality legal services to our clients and to assist them to resolve their legal problems. Supervise and lead junior legal staff in achieving this aim. About you The right person for this role will be an experienced Criminal Law solicitor who can maintain a busy practice whilst simultaneously supervising and leading other solicitors. The successful applicants will be committed to delivering excellent service for clients and be able to demonstrate an extensive knowledge of the criminal law jurisdiction in NSW. Experience as a criminal law solicitor is required and some management experience is preferred. We may create a talent pool for similar ongoing or temporary vacancies we have at this location over the next 18 months.
