On-call for emergencies at the small hospital is on a shared 1:2 roster. Out of hours call-outs are typically rare and you will be supported by fantastic nursing staff. Rosebery has no inpatients as they are cared for in nearby Queenstown. The Location Rosebery is just one of the many towns scatted across the west coast of Tasmania, a region home to untamed rivers, giant sand dunes and untouched rainforests. Nestled in a quiet valley on the side of the Pieman river, Rosebery is still full of vibrant mining activity with a population of around 700 people and a 2hr drive from the closest airport. 30 minutes further to the coast is Zeehan where the satellite clinic is located, Enjoy a walk through the old spray tunnel where you can get up close to some creepy critters or pop into the local rock shop or museum, filled with fascinating Tasmanian history. Essential Criteria You must be a vocationally registered GP (FRACGP or FACRRM) with recent rural emergency experience and emergency certification.
