Reporting directly into the Executive Manager of Business Optimisation, Group Operations COO, this newly created role will serve as a central facilitator, representing the needs of Group Operations as Westpac's multi-year strategic transformation program UNITE is delivered, and impacting change embedded into the operations business teams.
You will play an interface role between all UNITE change delivery teams and Group Operations, effectively coordinating a large portfolio of change, while ensuring minimal operational impact, and no impact to quality delivery of customer outcomes.
You will be responsible for developing the change management strategy and plan for Group Operations UNITE, including relevant scoping, estimations, planning and effective change delivery activities.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the development of the change management strategy and plan for Group Operations UNITE, including relevant scoping, estimations, planning and effective change delivery activities Manage and effectively sequence a large portfolio of change initiatives by providing advice to key stakeholders including scope definition, change effort estimation, resource plan, change impacts, and scheduling aspects.
Forecast and estimate resourcing required for approved initiatives.
Act as an interface between other change managers, delivery managers and teams, Lines of Business & Distribution teams to ensure proposed changes are integrated seamlessly and scheduled optimally.
Provide stakeholder insights and change management inputs into the critical path definition for delivery of strategic outcomes as defined by the line of business.
Provide leadership and coaching to assigned change resources.

What do I need?
Proven experience as an expert level practitioner of Change Management.
Demonstrable change management experience in large scale, multi-divisional, strategic transformation programs.
Experience delivering change into a large financial services operations function.
Expert stakeholder management skills.
Advanced knowledge and application of industry frameworks (Agile) and professional standards.
Demonstrated advanced ability to communicate complex ideas and concepts.
People Leadership experience.
Demonstrated knowledge of risk management and assurance concepts.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Flexibility and resilience in responding to multiple changing priorities.
Skilled ability to work in a dynamic leadership team.
