Practice Information: Group Practice Mixed Billing Position Description: The Practice aims to provide the highest quality primary comprehensive medical care, as courteously and efficiently as possible, to individuals, families, and communities. The General Practitioner provides a range of health services from prevention of illness, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation. The practice cares for all age groups of patients. They look after boarding school children, aboriginal patients through the CTG scheme, and have a high elderly population. The town has a high chronic disease burden. The position requires consultation with other health professionals internally (e.g., Nurse) and externally (e.g., specialist & allied Health) with care being coordinated by the General Practitioner. The General Practitioners also assist patients and the community by providing ongoing education, participating in health promotion, conducting research, and assisting training of students, registrars, colleagues, and other health professionals.
