Four Seasons Cafe is seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to support our team. In this role, you'll work closely with our chef, assisting in daily tasks and culinary preparations, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our valued customers. We’re looking for a motivated professional who aligns with ANZSCO standards for a Cook.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in line with menu standards to maintain quality and consistency.
* Season, marinate, and prepare food items using appropriate techniques.
* Portion, arrange, and garnish dishes to maintain a high standard of presentation.
* Monitor food quality, freshness, and presentation throughout service.
* Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils, ensuring a tidy workspace.
* Comply with food safety and hygiene regulations at all times.
* Support the chef in managing stock levels and maintaining ingredient freshness.
* Assist in menu planning and estimating food quantities as required.
Requirements:
* 2-3 years of proven experience in cooking, with a strong grasp of various culinary techniques.
* Relevant culinary qualification (Cert IV or equivalent preferred).
* Familiarity with kitchen safety protocols and traditional cooking methods.
* Detail-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
* Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.
