Make a Difference as a Counsellor in Bunbury and the South West

We are seeking a passionate Counsellor to join our supportive team and make a real impact in the Bunbury region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide Expert Counselling and Wellbeing Support: Offer tailored, evidence-based counselling to Clients and their families, helping them navigate emotional challenges such as anxiety, depression, grief, and loss.
* Facilitate Supportive Group Sessions: Lead client and carer education groups, providing valuable insights and strategies to enhance wellbeing.
* Collaborate with a Multidisciplinary Team: Work closely with a dedicated team of health professionals, ensuring clients receive the most comprehensive care and support.
* Empower Clients and Families: Offer both emotional and practical support, ensuring Clients feel understood, valued, and equipped to manage their unique situations.
* Manage Your Caseload with Autonomy: Organise your time effectively to manage a caseload, achieve individual KPIs, and deliver high-quality care.
* Make Meaningful Referrals: Guide clients to the right services and specialists, ensuring they have access to the full spectrum of care.
* Contribute to Team Success: Participate in strategic planning and policy development and collaborate on new ways to improve our services.
This role offers 30 hours per fortnight with flexibility on which days you work (no weekend shifts).
While your primary base will be at our Bunbury Service Centre, you'll also have the opportunity to travel to Vasse and visit Clients in their homes and once a month travel to Wilson for Counselling meetings and optional Peer Support (pool cars or km reimbursement available), ensuring they get the support they need in their community.
What We're Looking For:
* A Bachelor of Counselling or equivalent qualification.
* At least two years post-qualification experience in providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
* A current Driver's Licence and access to your own vehicle.
* Relevant Professional membership (PACFA, ACA, AASW).
* Experience in grief and loss, critical incident management, and supporting people with anxiety and depression.
* Strong communication and organisational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A passion for wellbeing and health promotion.
* A current NDIS Workers Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain).
* A current First Aid & CPR (we can help you here if not).
* Working with Children (or willingness to obtain).
* Desirable: Experience working with individuals with neurological and neuropsychiatric conditions. Familiarity with NDIS and aged care packages.
