HEALTH, SAFETY, ENVIRONMENT AND RISK MANAGEROur client is an Australian company with a growing international business that provides services to the minerals and metals processing industry globally.Focusing on delivering high-quality, safe projects, it is a trusted brand with an excellent reputation.The company is firmly committed to an ambitious growth strategy into new geographies and capabilities supported by a team of experienced leaders who focus on safety, training, and well-being.Role Description: The Health, Safety, Environment, and Risk (HSER) Manager leads and manages the organisation's health, safety, environmental, and risk management initiatives.This role involves ensuring compliance with regulations, guidelines, and industry standards while fostering a safety and well-being culture.The HSER Manager will oversee operational activities, conduct risk assessments, and develop procedures to control hazards effectively.A key focus will be to ensure that the organisation and its projects implement, maintain, and improve their safety initiative and its associated processes.Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, you will engage and influence the workforce and be accountable for the following:Ensure all operations adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations and industry standards.Conduct risk assessments to identify hazards and implement control measures.Develop, implement, and maintain HSER procedures and policies.Manage and enhance HSER training programs to boost employee knowledge and compliance.Oversee compliance report preparation and present HSE data at meetings.Build and maintain relationships with client safety organisations for collaboration and knowledge sharing.Support workers' compensation insurance reviews and case management.Analyse HSER performance metrics to identify trends and drive organisational improvements.About you: To join this team, your qualifications and competencies will include:Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years in health, safety, environment, and risk management.In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and industry standards.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to effectively manage risks.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration.Proven ability to develop and deliver impactful training programs.Experience in workers' compensation and case management is preferred.Familiarity with sustainability programs managing safety initiatives.Ability to inspire and motivate teams to prioritise safety and compliance.Meticulous approach to inspections, evaluations, and reporting.Strong ability to work with diverse teams and stakeholders.Willingness to adapt to changing regulations and organisational needs.Following the resignation of a long-standing employee, this position is now available immediately at the corporate office in Bayswater.A competitive salary and positive team culture are offered to attract a highly qualified candidate who can support the organisation's HSER objectives.We would prefer to receive applications by COB Thursday 13 November 2024.
