The hotel is complemented with direct access to the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre (MCEC), the Southern Hemisphere's largest meeting space and adjacent to the DFO centre, with 180+ retail brands.Job DescriptionThe Guest Service Agents are the first and last impression at the hotel.
The position is responsible for ensuring exceptional service is provided to guests at all times, making guests feel both welcome and comfortable.
Secondary to this, the role is responsible for ensuring the front office premises are safe, clean and comfortable for guests.Key duties include:Provide passionate, knowledgeable and friendly service to external and internal guests at all timesAssist guest with all enquiries and complaints and provide accurate information to guests about Hotel facilities and featuresCheck guests in and out of the HotelHandle guest enquiries and provide information and assistanceCollect payment of accounts and issue invoices accordinglyCommunicate with other departments to ensure relevant information is communicated between departmentsAssist in maintaining a safe and secure environment for guestsQualificationsPrevious customer service experience, preferably in a busy hotel environmentAbility to provide prompt and efficient service including ability to build rapport both in person and over the telephoneSelf-motivated with positive and professional attitudeStrong knowledge of computer systems including Microsoft Office and preferably in OperaEnsuring strict procedures are followed for all cash/credit, cheque transactions, accounting and banking procedures, issue of keys and guest confidentialityGood interpersonal skills with ability to communicate with all levels of team membersAvailable to work at least 4 shifts per weekAdditional InformationWhy Work for Accor?We are far more than a worldwide leader.
