You will also develop and implement Governance strategies, policies, processes, and procedures to ensure organisational compliance with legislative obligations. In partnership with the Executive Manager Governance and Public Affairs, you are also responsible for embedding a Good Governance Framework across all Council departments.You will also:Actively pursue improvement opportunities for innovation which supports the development of Council’s compliance program and culture.Provide timely and accurate Governance advice to both internal and external customers.Ensure a collaborative management style to staff that report to the position to ensure that Governance services are provided in a timely and professional manner.In partnership with the Executive Manager Governance and Public Affairs, respond to Councillor conduct matters and inquiries from oversight agencies (i.e. IBAC, Victorian Ombudsman, OVIC and LGI).This is an ongoing full-time position with a competitive salary. An inherent requirement of this position is to attend regular Council meetings, briefings, and citizenship ceremonies outside of standard business hours.We request you to be on-site for part of the working week so you can collaborate in our vibrant office culture.
