Job Title: Senior System/Project Engineer
Position Overview:
The Senior System/Project Engineer will serve as the second-in-command to the General Manager, providing technical leadership and guidance across various IT infrastructure and cloud technologies.
This role combines hands-on technical expertise with project delivery and team support, ensuring smooth operation of IT systems and successful delivery of client projects.
Main Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership:
* Act as a senior technical escalation point for IT systems and infrastructure issues.
* Provide mentorship and support to junior engineers and technicians.
* Ensure high-quality technical solutions aligned with best practices.
Project Delivery:
* Plan, manage, and execute IT projects, including system upgrades, cloud migrations, and infrastructure implementations.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
* Monitor project progress and report on outcomes to management.
IT Infrastructure and Cloud Management:
* Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and virtualization platforms.
* Manage cloud environments, focusing on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and hybrid solutions.
* Ensure availability, security, and performance of IT systems.
Process Improvement:
* Contribute to the development and enhancement of IT policies, procedures, and documentation.
* Identify and implement opportunities to optimize IT processes and systems.
Key Requirements:
* Experience in IT infrastructure and cloud technologies, minimum of 5 years.
* Proven experience in project delivery and team leadership.
* Prior experience in a 2IC or senior technical role is preferred.
Desirable Skills:
* Proficiency across IT infrastructure domains, including networking, virtualization, storage, and server administration.
* Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Microsoft Azure, AWS, Microsoft 365).
* Strong knowledge of IT security principles, backup and disaster recovery solutions, and system monitoring tools.
* Familiarity with scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell) is advantageous.
