Position: High School U.S. History and Government/Economics Teacher
Education / certifications: Must hold a History teacher certificate and be able to teach multiple courses in History.
Attributes / Skills: Energetic, charismatic, creative, extremely flexible, responsible, able to lead small group projects, and passionate about all fields of math.
Responsibilities: To include, but not limited to:
1. Classroom teaching assignment of: U.S. History and Government/Economics;
2. Be student-centered, creative with instruction, and know how to plan and implement effective hands-on lessons;
3. Work as a member of the Sundown High School and SISD team to ensure the purposeful implementation of the History TEKS with a primary focus on student success grades K-12;
4. Alignment of History courses grades K-12;
5. Research and purchase materials as needed for History courses grades 11-12;
6. Work with students at varying skill levels challenging them all;
7. Take on extra duties as needed/assigned, such as helping with UIL competitions, tutoring, and/or class sponsorships.
Salary: Competitive pay
